Software license agreement

 

Asociacija Alternatyvi Medicina grants Buyer non-exclusive right to install and use the Software

on a single computer and a single terminal for the purpose of operating products purchased by Buyer from  Asociacija Alternatyvi Medicina. All rights in the Software not specifically granted in this Agreement.

You may install one additional copy on a laptop or a home computer provided that it is owned by you, for your use for archival purposes.

The Software’s content is protected by copyright laws. Buyer may not rent, lease, loan the Software without the prior written notice of  Asociacija Alternatyvi Medicina. Buyer may not disassemble, copy, reverse engineer, decompile, modify, sublicense, assign, create a derivative work from, or use the Software in any manner except as stated in this Agreement.

We do not warrant that Buyer’s use of the Software will be error-free and uninterrupted. In case of defective Software operation, we perform technical after sales support. 

Except as set forth in this paragraph, the Software is licensed “As Is” without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, by statute or otherwise, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, non-infringement and fitness for any particular purpose. We do not guarantee or warrant the suitability of the Software or that it will meet your requirements.

The liability of  Asociacija Alternatyvi Medicina under the warranty set forth above shall be limited to the amount paid by Buyer for the product.

Asociacija Alternatyvi Medicina and its suppliers will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including damages for loss of business, loss of profits, etc.) whether based on breach of contract, tort and negligence, product liability and the like

Asociacija Alternatyvi Medicina liability to Buyer will be limited to the amount paid for the product.  

 

 

 

INTRODUCTION

 

Thank you for purchasing reflexology  zones testing software.  You are about to discover the comfort and convenience of the software.  

The present Maintenance Guide is intended for acquaintance with the rules and order of the electro-acupuncture testing and reflexology  zones testing software operation. 

Reflexology  zones testing software  has been designed to be easy and simple to use  and comes with a comprehensive guidance to maximize ease of use. The Maintenance Guide contains information necessary for correct software  operation. You should read the manual carefully before using your software.

 

 

OVERVIEW OF THE SOFTWARE

 

Our software can be used to assess a whole body health via reflexology zones measurements and obtain information for proper subsequent influence that you use in your practice.  The software is intended for getting system evaluation, for defining functional activity of organs and systems with the help pf electrical conductance measurements and problems’ correction with color and frequencies. 

 

The main objective of the software to become integrated with a computer in a more user-friendly way for a practitioner. It allows the practitioner to send results of reflexology zones measurements directly to their PC and create automated and accurate information for providing patients with an objective, patient-friendly, graphical print out at each visit.

The direct reading from probe to computer saves the practitioner's time and allows him to obtain analysis information of the entire body within a short time.

 

 

 

 

 

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

 

The place of examination should be protected against the high-power sources of electromagnetic fields to avoid the interference in the measurement process. If there are other electrical devices which are the sources of electromagnetic fields, it is necessary to switch them off before person’s examination.

The connection of the USB- port cable, electrodes for frequency correction, measuring active/passive probes and passive probe is realized only in dedicated for them jacks (sockets).  

The computer should be reliably grounded.

 

 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS TO EXAMINATION PROCEDURE:

 

An examinee should take off watches, rings, glasses with metallic items, jewelry which may interfere with the readings should be removed before examination. Hands and feet should not be moistened with oils, lotions or excessive perspiration.  It is undesirable to take pills, alcohol, coffee affecting nervous system prior to the examination. Before taking a measurement wait for some time after drill, meal, etc. A person should be calm and relaxed.  Don’t hold the passive electrode too firm or too loose as it can create altered measurements (too firm contact creates higher readings, too soft contact creates lower readings).

 

To create an accurate reading an examiner should not touch the examinee during measurement (only touching the measurement point by the active/passive probe, no physical contact).

Make sure that the moistened cotton on the active/passive probe is in contact with metal of the probe. The moist cotton should not be too wet or too dry. It is appropriate to douse in water the active/passive probe to maintain cotton moistened during the test.

If the skin of the examinee is too moistened with oils, lotions or perspiration dab gently excess moisture avoiding friction over the hands.  During measurement don’t press too hard or too gentle on the examined points.    

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

 

Electric cardiac pacemaker; coagulation failure; congenital deformity of central nervous system; implantable cardio stimulator; individual intolerance to current electricity; injury on a skin after electro stimulation; state of acute psychic excitement or intoxication (alcohol),  pregnancy.

 Preparation to software operation  

                                           

   

Place and mount the device according to safety measures and general instructions of the present manual in a following order:

·      place the device elements and PC on the workplace;

·       connect USB port cable to the free input/output of the computer.

·      Install the drivers copied from CD provided together with the device and software.

 

 

 

SOFTWARE  INSTALLATION

 

Put the CD with the  software into CD-ROM drive.

To copy the software from the CD on the hard drive of the computer, locate the  file. Open it with the left click of the mouse to begin the installation process.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To complete successful installation of the software on your computer, press the button Finish

 

 

 

STARTING AND EXITING the software

 

Before running the software, make sure that the device is connected to the computer and switched on. Make sure that USB-cable is plugged into USB-port of the computer,  and the other end of the cable to the device’s jack. A short sound signal is generated if the device is on.

 

 

   To start the program, click on the software’s icon.  

 

 

The Introductory window will appear on your screen.

 

 

If there is no information about patients in the database, you will see an empty “Clients” field.  Before starting a test, add the patient to the database.  

 

If client information is already in the database, it appears in the Introductory window of the client list.

 

 

If you want to exit from the program click the on the  button, which is in the program’s Title Bar.

 

 

 

 

 

                              

 

ELEMENTS OF THE SOFTWARE’S MAIN WINDOW

 

After the start of the program the Introductory window appears on the screen. Some elements are typical for all windows in Windows, some are specific for the device’s software 

  

  TITLE BAR

 

The Title bar is on the top of the program window, the name of the program is indicated in Title bar. The title bar is always highlighted by a green color.  It indicates that the window is active at the given moment.

 

 

The window control buttons on the right in the title bar allow you to: minimize the window into a button on a taskbar, change the window’s size  or  close it .

 

TOOLBOX  PANEL

Press the button  to turn on or turn off the calibration.

 

 

STATUS LINE

 

Status line is at the bottom of  the Introductory window.

 

 

  -   -  shows client’s   name and surname.

- displays time and date of a test.

 

- defines device’s number. In this example it shows that device is not connected to the computer.

 

MENU BAR

 

Menu  is in the left field of the software’s window. Press necessary button to execute  the command.

 

 

Client’s card

 

The Clients tab  is a management database, which records client information (such as name, last name, phone, etc.) and test histories.

Vertical scroll  is right to the client’s card . 

Press the buttons Up   or Down  on the vertical scroll to move a list with clients.

 

To choose a client from the list click on the client’s Name, Surname.

The line with the selected client will be highlighted in blue.

Buttons  New, Edit, Delete are used to work with the client’s information

 

Each time you want to view the information about a person, edit or delete it, choose the client by pressing his Name or Surname under the tab  .

 

Click the  button     – to enter a new client’s card and type in the Name, Surname, Date of birth, Sex and contact details.

 

 

When you enter the information for a new client, the software’s window appears in a following way:

 

 

 

Client’s card has various fields. Press the necessary one and enter the all information required for it.

To upload a picture, press the button  and browse the picture from file. To delete it, press . 

 

Click the button    to keep the all information in the client’s card.

 

New client will appear in the list after that. To cancel the new client’s card, press   .

 

  – changes the information in a client’s card.

 Select the client’s name and press the ‘Edit’  button and make all necessary changes.

Click “Save”  . All changes are saved in a client’s card. If you want to cancel the all changes, press the button .

 

 

  –  this button removes a client from the client’s list. Choose necessary client in a client’s card and press .

Then confirm or cancel the client’s deletion:

 

 

Note:  once you delete the client, all his personal details are removed including measurements’ history. 

 

 Search:  

 

This option enables a user to search for a necessary client  by Name, Surname, Date of birth, Date of test.

Enter a text in  a search line, mark a search criteria and press the button

.

Templates.

 This panel is supposed for creating templates of diagnostics and treatment. A user can download in the software’s database any pictures, mark necessary points on  zones (organs’ projections) which he believes are useful for testing process. These pictures can be saved for subsequent usage in tests.

If there are no templates kept, the list is empty.

To choose a template, press down arrow button. Press on one of the lines in the appeared list.

New Template   - - this is command button for adding a new template.

Algorithm

 

Set an algorithm of testing with the help of the tab below.

 

            Determine the borders of testing limits, testing deficient values, average and excessive values. Say, deficient values will be from 0 to 35, average – 35 to 60, measurements higher than 60 will be considered as excessive values.

 

. Adding a picture. Press the button  to add the new picture in a template .

Changing picture. If you want to change a picture, click .

Deleting picture.  To delete a picture press the button  .

If you delete the picture, all the points located on this picture are deleted together.

 

 

Pictures’ navigation . Press the button Back and Next to view the picture of the chosen template

 

            Adding, changing a point.  To add a new point in a template – just mark it on the picture.

A new line with the name of a new point will be displayed in the end of a table of all points.

You can change point’s name and also add point’s description in the  fields over the list with all points.

 

 

 

 

 

 Using these fields you are able to change a description or name of any point in the list. To do that you need to choose a point  pressing the corresponding line of the table. This line will be highlighted by a green color. Make all necessary changes in the corresponding fields.

 

            In the same manner it is possible to choose the necessary point on the picture (to do that just clicking with the mouse on it). The corresponding table line to this point will be marked automatically.

Changing the point’s color.  .  Press   in the line with necessary point. Choose a color in the opened palette and press OK.

 

 

 

Point deletion from the template.

 

Choose necessary point from the list. Press the button . Confirm or cancel deletion of the point:

 

 

 

Edit the point’s receipt  Press the button in the line with a point’s name. You open the panel for editing the point’s receipt.

 

 

  - adding a new line (task) for color correction  

 

Preset the time of correction, color and generating frequency (it can be chosen from 1 Hz to 50 Hz) 

 

 

-  adding a new line (task) for frequency correction.

 

Preset the frequency and time of correction.

 

- removal of the chosen line (task) for color or frequency correction (choose the necessary line before deletion).

- all lines (tasks) deletion.

- closing the receipt editing tab.

 

Having closed the panel for receipt editing, we go back to the templates editor.

 

  - saving a new or changed template.

 - deletion of the template.

 

Testing

    This function of the software helps you to examine, assess health state evaluating measurement values of the electrical conductivity of acupuncture points on the skin and meridians connected with these points.

Characteristics of diagnostics displaying and data entry.

 

To start a testing  prepare the device as follows:

·        Check the connection of the passive electrode, detecting probe in dedicated jacks

·        Connect USB-cable to the device and computer.

·        Run the software

·        If the card’s list is empty, create a new card

·        If the list with templates is empty, create a new template for testing

 

·        Press the button

      ●    Choose a template from the templates’ list created by you

 

 

• Choose a client from the client’s list

 

 

• Set testing parameters.

Depending on your further actions after testing process, choose a necessary command the software will perform after testing completion. It can be either testing function only, or testing with color treatment, or test or frequency therapy, or all together, test, color and frequency therapy.

                  

 

Test – testing function of the software (window with receipts is empty). The software will help you to conduct testing of corresponding zones or other reflexology zones and viewing of graph results.

 

Test and color – – testing and color correction function inbuilt in  the software

 (the receipt window displays only the lines (tasks) for color correction).

The software will help you to conduct testing of corresponding zones or other reflexology zones and viewing of graph results and also perform color correction in accordance with scheduled tasks.

 

 

Test and frequency –  testing and frequency correction function inbuilt in the software (the receipt window displays only the lines (tasks) for frequency correction).

The software will help you to conduct testing of corresponding zones or other reflexology zones and viewing of graph results and also perform frequency correction in accordance with scheduled tasks.

Test, color and frequency – testing, color and frequency correction functions (all lines are displayed). The software will help you to conduct testing of corresponding zones or other reflexology zones and viewing of graph results and also perform color and frequency correction in accordance with scheduled tasks.

  

• Choose the time for an automatic shift to a next point testing.

 

 

For your convenience you may set your own time when the software shifts to another point’s measurement.

The software tests a point within 30 seconds by default,  you can stop testing in any time span and measurement results will be entered in the software, if you have preset the function  

, you are able to shift to the next point examination.

 

Lower section of the Testing window displays the template points created by you (use scroll to view all of the points). Active point is marked with a green color. Point’s name and its measurement result on the first and current seconds are shown above the list.

Center part of the window Теsting the tab  shows the scale with values of skin conductance.

           

 

            The scale consists of the numerical values of the skin conductance and a dynamic line. The line is a real time graphing of your skin conductance received from the organs’ representative points in the process of testing.

 

    

Red line  – displays the testing process of a point in a current moment.

 

 

The tab    displays the all test graph according to the template

 

 

The vertical line of the graph displays numerical values of skin conductance level, horizontal line shows points’ numbers.

 

If you want to view 2 graphs revise simultaneously, press the tab

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Let us go to the ТЕSTING process.

 

Place the active/passive measuring probe with moistened cotton over the examinee’s test point, you will hear a short beep. The reading begins at that moment. 

 

During the testing process you are not able to shift to another template, however, you can change details of the template which is used currently.

 

Examination results are displayed in the measurement field and in the columns graph every second.

 

After 10 seconds the running red line stabilizes and reaches the end of display scale or when the contact between the detecting probe and skin will be interrupted, you will hear a short beep signifying that test of a given point completed.  

 

 

To shift to the next point’s measurement you should place the detecting probe over the test point aсcording to the next point’s illustration.

 

To repeat this or any other point, press the  NEXT   button to go to the next point or the  BACK  button to shift to a previous point.

Shifting back and forth allows you to start testing any point of the template. In order to stop testing process, press the button .

 

 

 

·      On completion of measuring the skin conductance level on all points of the template, the button   becomes active. Press on it to complete the test, save measurement results and view  test  summary. Confirm or cancel results saving.

 

 

 

 

 

           

 

 

CORRECTION  

 

After saving test results, the diagnostics window is ready for the process of correction (if a corresponding method is chosen). Correction of the body is performed either with the help of color or frequencies (or both).

 

  

 

In order to start correction process, place the detecting probe on the skin in correspondence with a point’s illustration and press the button .  You will hear a short beep indicating that correction begins.  Having completed influencing on one point, place the probe according to the other point’s illustration and press the button  again and so on.  Press the button   to shift automatically through the points.

To suspend the correction, press  . To interrupt the correction process, press the button .

On completion of the all points correction, the software will notify you that the process is finished.   

 

 

            Press OK and the information about correction performed will be automatically saved in the database. After that the diagnostics window is ready for a new testing again.

 

 

 

 

RESULTS

            The window Results   keeps the records on previously done tests

 

 

To review  test’s results that you want,  you should: 

 

• Choose a client whose test results you want to view

 

 

• Choose the date and time of the test conducted
•  

 

The test results will be displayed in the table below

 

       As well as test results will be shown in the graph.

 

The list with dates and time will be empty and test’s results won’t be displayed  if there was no meridian examination conducted according to a chosen template.

 

 

Now some explanations of the table from our example:

 

The first column shows the point’s number in a template

Second – the point’s name

Third – measurement value on the first of a point’s examination

Fourth – measurement result on the last second of testing

Fifth – displays last second.

Sixth – average measurement value derived from the all seconds calculation.

Seventh – measurement result.

 

Blue color means deficiency, green – ideal average value,

red  – excessive value.

 

 

The button     removes a chosen test result.

 

Graphs

 

This section enables a user to compare at a time several test made to monitor the dynamics and see how physiological responses changed. You need to choose necessary date and time of testing and the software generates the graph. 

 

                                                                

 

 

Print

 

  This function enables a user to print out the information about a client, test and correction results of a given client. 

 

You can assign the print settings you want to be printed out or choose a template from the template’s list.

 

 

Defining Print Options.

 

 

 

In order to open an empty template, choose Default from the template’s list

 

 

 

Check the boxes on the left with information you want to be printed out.

 

 

Name – Name of the client will be printed out.

Birth date – if you check this box, client’s birth date will be printed out.

Registration date – the date when you registered a client’s card will be printed

Results –  testing results.

Choosing this setting you open the list with all tests for the given client saved in a software’s database.

Check test results that you want to print out. If the testing was not carried out for a chosen client, the list is empty.

 

Treatment  -  gives you information about carried out correction.

Recommendations – shows treatment recommendations. Checking this setting, you open the list with the all recommendations.  

 

You are able to choose previously saved recommendations or create new ones. To create a new recommendation, use the tab located in the upper right window corner.

 

 

Press the button  . Enter a recommendation name  in the line near it.

In the lower field enter  recommendation text and press the button 

 

You are also enabled to use this bar for viewing, changing and deletion of recommendations.

 

To view the recommendation, choose it from the list of recommendations.

 

                                   

 

Enter all necessary changes and click the button .

 

To remove the recommendation, press the button .

 

Let us come back to defining the print settings.

 

 

After creating all your recommendations, check necessary ones on the panel located from the left.

 

You can also assign an order of data arraying on the paper. Use the panel which is in the lower part of the software’s window.

 

 

Mark one of the lines and move it with the help UP or DOWN    arrows.

 

            To create Header and Footer use the tab located in the upper part of the software’s window.
