GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

The place of examination should be protected against the high-power sources of electromagnetic fields to avoid the interference in the measurement process. If there are other electrical devices which are the sources of electromagnetic fields, it is necessary to switch them off before person’s examination.
The connection of the USB- port cable, electrodes for frequency correction, measuring active/passive probes and passive probe is realized only in dedicated for them jacks (sockets).
The computer should be reliably grounded.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS TO EXAMINATION PROCEDURE:

An examinee should take off watches, rings, glasses with metallic items, jewelry which may interfere with the readings should be removed before examination. Hands and feet should not be moistened with oils, lotions or excessive perspiration. It is undesirable to take pills, alcohol, coffee affecting nervous system prior to the examination. Before taking a measurement wait for some time after drill, meal, etc. A person should be calm and relaxed. Don’t hold the passive electrode too firm or too loose as it can create altered measurements (too firm contact creates higher readings, too soft contact creates lower readings).

To create an accurate reading an examiner should not touch the examinee during measurement (only touching the measurement point by the active/passive probe, no physical contact).
Make sure that the moistened cotton on the active/passive probe is in contact with metal of the probe. The moist cotton should not be too wet or too dry. It is appropriate to douse in water the active/passive probe to maintain cotton moistened during the test.

Diagnostics

Before you open the window with diagnostic function, you need to choose a necessary client from your Clients' list or introduce a new one.
Measurement window appears on the screen.

It is necessary to start measurement of Su Jok points with the preparation of the device.

Check visually the connection of the passive electrode, detecting probe, USB port cable.
Insert the moistened cotton tampon into the active/passive electrode’s search cup.

The software provides you with 2 types of points’ measurement.
You can measure the points either through 5 elements or 6 Ki

Depending on the type you choose, the software displays different points locations.

If you decided to choose 5 elements testing, it is possible to test traditional 24 points or 120 points (5 points on each meridian).

Evaluation form for 5 elements testing displaying:>

24 points or 120 points including Left and Right sides for Yin and Yang

Evaluation form for 6 Ki testing including 24 points or 144 points

24 points or 144 points

including Left and Right sides for Yin and Yang

The software directs you in performing all 24 points (120 or 144 ) measurements. Every point is graphically illustrated where the measurement point located which a patient and practitioner may view and follow the screen. The pictures clearly show the precise location of the acupuncture point to examine, and it is simple even for new users.

The points which should be tested are marked with different colors in correspondence with 5 elements and the point which is tested at the moment is blinking.

Follow the points’ illustration to locate and complete all measurement points.

The values of skin conductance are located on the middle side of the Testing window.

The display consists of the numerical values of the skin conductance and a dynamic red line. The red line is a real time graphing of your skin conductance received from the organs’ representative points.

The display scale can change its color during measurement process. There are 3 colors for preliminary evaluation of the measured point depending on the electro-conductivity of the point and meridian connected with it: green, blue and red. Blue color means low deficient value, green designates normal state of the point and red color tells us about excessive values.
The vertical line on the left side of the graph displays numerical values of skin conductance level.

Depending on the value measurement field is marked with different colors enabling a user to evaluate the points preliminary (blue for deficient values, green for normal and red for excessive results).

The program automatically calculates and enters the average skin conductance level for the particular point measurement. All readings are displayed in the evaluation form under the display scale.

The software provides by default the function to shift automatically to another point measurement when you complete measuring previous point.

You can choose the time from 0 to 60 seconds, within this period the software will shift you to another point testing. For example, if you select 0 seconds, it shifts you to measurement of another point at once; if you select from 1 till 60 seconds, the program has to shift to another point within 1, 2, …..60 seconds depending on time chosen.

This field displays information about the point being tested currently, like in our example Meridian: Lung, Point – A III, Energy – Fire

The description and rules of the TESTING process.

Step one:
The device is connected to the computer, USB-port cable is connected to the computer and device, active/passive probe, electrode are connected to the device. Run software.
Make all necessary general requirements to examination procedure.
Step two:
Make a small size of cotton swab. Moisten it with water or salt solution and squeeze the cotton swab in the active/passive probe’s cup. Make sure that the moistened cotton on the active/passive probe is in contact with metal of the probe. The moist cotton should not be too wet or too dry. It is appropriate to douse in water the active/passive probe to maintain cotton moistened during the test.
Step three:
Have the client hold the probe not too loose or not too tight.
Step four:
With the feet resting on non-conductive ground the client seats comfortably on a chair or lying on a bed. The examinee should not contact metal, wall furnishings.
Step five:
Without touching, probing or palpating, place the active/passive measuring probe with moistened cotton tampon over the examinee’s test point aсcording to the point’s illustration, since that moment the reading begins. The red line steadily rises to a certain value where it gradually stabilizes.

The measurement of each point is performed within 3 seconds and the program automatically gets three measurement readings of the meridian conductance value on each second, then the software calculates the average value of the point.

After 3 seconds when the running red line stabilized and reaches the end of display scale, measurement value is accompanied by a beep and the software automatically fixes it in the evaluation form if you pressed on

To go to the next measurement you need to place the measuring electrode on the examinee’s skin in accordance with the next point’s illustration.

If you press the push-button before the expiration of 3 seconds from the moment of the first pressing, or there was a mistake you can press the button (back) and shift to a necessary point.

To repeat this or any other point, press the button (forward) - to pass to the next point

or the button – to shift to a previous point.

Shifting back and forth you can begin testing with a point which is displayed in the program.

This function helps you in erroneous data input.

The button (clear) – deletes all measured data during examination.

The software automatically saves 24 values and creates a test summary in the shape of different charts in the clients file.

Special Note:

If the active/passive probe does not start reading right away make sure that the cotton swab is moistened enough and the probe is connected to the device.

A stable running red line shows that the measurement is accurate but there can be a break in the graphic line, continue to measure a point and wait for a while, it is probably passing. A break indicates that the signal has broken. It often happens if the skin conductance is not sufficient and your energy level is low, then the measurement won’t be accurate as it won’t show the information about your health.

This section contains the graphs with examination summary for 5 elements or 6 Ki, enter your notes, complaints of a patient and post test results on a forum to get an advise from other forum members if you experience any difficulties in results interpreting.

Once you have completed points’ examination press the button to view the graphical summaries.

The user can view which meridians are out of their physiologic balance (if the meridians are deficient or excessive) in the five different style graphs.

You can view and save unlimited quantity of tests for each client in the software’s database.

Results may be viewed in five different graph styles:

The first graph shows both sides of the same meridian.

The second graph style displays twelve meridians’ energy of the left side and their pairs on the right.

Third graph allows a user to choose several previous exam results from client’s history to compare with each other over a span of time to monitor the dynamics (or the current test with previous examinations).

To do so choose the corresponding graph style (third style) , click on the dates you want to view and the program will display each test in its own color.

The advantage of this function allows you to compare the last examination with the previous ones and view any changed physiological responses.

With the help of the fourth graph you are enabled to see if there a split energy between the left and right sides of the same meridian and the level of such imbalance between the 2 sides of the same meridian.

To do so, choose the fourth graph, then click on the date you want to view (if it is not a current test).

Correction

Since the device supplied with the software Su Jok 6 Ki has an inbuilt light in its detecting probe for colour therapy, a user is enabled to set the colours in the software, their time of generating and choose a frequency from 0 to 50 Hz the colour will be generated.

If you use the software and colour therapy function for the first time, you should create a template first and mark the points on corresponding zones of palms that you are going to influence with the colour.

Press the button

Once the software opened the colour therapy template, start marking the points on the corresponding zones of hands that you are going to treat with colour.

- a new line (task) for color correction

Preset the time of correction, colour and generating frequency (it can be chosen from 0 Hz to 50 Hz)

- adding a new line (task) for frequency correction.

With the left click of the mouse press on a correspondence zone to mark a point.

On the left window you will see the colour schedule where you should set the colour, time and frequency of generating.

You are able to create any colour from the colour palette. To do so, click on the colour line with the left mouse click and then right click of the mouse will help you to choose necessary colour from the palette.

The right part of the colour scheduling field displays an order of the points (for your convenience you can mark them with different colour by the right click of the mouse).

These buttons will be also helpful in managing the points, deleting them.

NOTES for COLOR THERAPY

Color therapy can be applied in several ways described below:

The first way: we advise to choose a color the most favorite for a patient, set the time of generating and play it through the device's detecting probe (the light is inbuilt there).

The second way: select the worst 1 or 2 meridians based on test results provided by the software. Start influencing biologically active points on chosen meridians or reflexology zones (the points or zones are selected by a practitioner individually starting from the most distal points or in correspondence with a patient's health condition: disease, symptoms).

The time of color generating on one point is from 1 to 3-4 minutes depending on each patient condition. It is advised that a practitioner starts from minimal time, 1 minute, gradually making the time of generation 3-4 minutes; as well as the time of generating should be less for kids at the initial stage of therapy. One session color therapy should involve 4-6 acupuncture points. The color therapy consists of 5-10 sessions depending on treatment dynamics (you can check and monitor it with the help of Ryodoraku testing).

The third way:

If there is no positive feedback from treatment after 1-3 sessions, try using complementary colors in relation to the original one, based on pairs of complementary colors: red, green, orange, blue, yellow-purple
Set the color in accordance with individual preferences of a patient or conduct color therapy session like in the second way.

The fourth way:

If there is no effect from using complementary colors shift to organ related colors:

red - Heart (Small intestine)

orange - Bladder (Kidneys),

yellow – Stomach (Spleen),

green - Gall bladder (Liver),

blue – Lungs (Large intestine)

violet – Pericardium (Triple heater).

Set the color in accordance with individual preferences of a patient

And repeat steps from the second way.

Note: in a rare case if all these steps do not show positive feedback we would like to advise to shift to another treatment modality.
