To avoid interference in the measurement process the area of examination should be free of high-power sources of electromagnetic fields, such as cell phones, microwaves, refrigerators, etc. Switch off all sources of electromagnetic fields prior to an examination.
Connect the USB port cable, measuring active/passive probes, and the passive probe in the jack/socket for which they are dedicated.
The computer should be reliably grounded.
1) Use the device only after thoroughly acquainting oneself with the instruction manual.
2) Use caution to avoid fire, electrocution, or injury. Keep the device away from
children. Always supervise children near the device.
3) Store the device indoors in a dry location. Do not use the device in or nearby water.
4) The device is made of plastic and could melt or burn if it comes in contact with any heat source. Do not set up, use, or store near any open flames, heaters,
furnaces or other hot objects. Do not place the device in direct sunlight.
5) Turn off the device and disconnect from computer when not in use.
6) For accurate readings keep the device away from heater, microwave, vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, fan, air conditioner, cell
phone.
An examinee should take off all metallic items--watches, rings, glasses, jewelry--which may interfere with the readings. Hands and feet should not be moistened with oils, lotions or excessive perspiration. Avoid stimulants (coffee, alcohol, drugs) that affect the nervous system prior to testing. Before taking a measurement wait for some time (about two hours) after exercise, meal, etc. A person should be calm and relaxed. The examinee should not hold the passive electrode too firmly or too lightly as it can alter the measurements (too firm of contact creates higher readings; too light of contact lowers the readings).
Make sure the moistened cotton on the active/passive probe is in contact with the metal of the probe. The cotton should not be too wet or too dry. Keep the cotton moist throughout the testing. If the skin of the examinee is wet with oil, lotion, or perspiration gently dab the excess moisture to avoid friction on the hands and feet (hands and feet in TCM method, hands in SU-JOK method). During testing the examiner should not press too hard or too lightly on the examined points. An examiner should not touch the examinee during the testing (touch the measurement point only with the active/passive probe).

Begins the meridian measurement function.
Before you open the window with Test function ,
you need to choose a necessary client from your Clients
list first or introduce a new one.
Measurement window appears on the screen.
It is necessary to start Su-Jok points diagnostics with the preparation of the device.
Check visually the connection of the passive electrode, detecting probe, USB port cable.
Insert the moistened cotton tampon into the active/passive electrode’s search cup.
- Do not forget to choose your device type when running the software. The software will need to locate the device you are using. (For example, Biopulse TC.)
Choose the type of you device’s microprocessor you have purchased (to know this information, contact us)
The software provides you with 2 types of points’ measurement:
1) You can measure traditional 24 points, 12 points on each side;
2) It is possible to test 120 points, 5 points on each meridian.
Choose the type of testing you want.
The software provides by default the function to
shift automatically to another point measurement when you
complete measuring previous point.
You can choose the time from 0 to 60 seconds, within this period the software will shidt you to another point testing. For example, if you select 0 seconds, it shifts you to measurement of another point at once; if you select from 1 till 60 seconds, the program has to shift to another point within 1, 2, …..60 seconds depending on time chosen.
The values of skin conductance are located on the middle side of the Testing window.
The display consists of the numerical values of the skin conductance and a dynamic red line. The red line is a real time graphing of your skin conductance received from the organs’ representative points.
The display scale can change its color during measurement process. There are 3 colors for preliminary evaluation of the measured point depending on the electroconductivity of the point and meridian connected with it: green, blue and red. Blue color means low deficient value, green designates normal state of the point and red color tells us about excessive values
The vertical line on the left side of the graph displays numerical values of skin conductance level.
Depending on the value measurement field is marked with different colors, enabling a user to evaluate the points preliminary. In this example measurement field has green color and it means that the point value is normal.
Under the display scale of electro-conductivity you can see a field displaying the information about measured point at the current moment: meridian name, point name and energy name.
The program automatically calculates and enters the average skin conductance level for the particular point measurement. All readings are displayed in the evaluation form under the display scale.

The software directs you in performing all 24 points measurements. Every point is graphically illustrated where the measurement point located which a patient and practitioner may view and follow the screen. The pictures clearly show the precise location of the acupuncture point to examine, and it is simple even for new users.
The points which should be tested are marked with different colors in correspondence with 5 elements and the point which is tested at the moment is blinking.
Follow the points’ illustration to locate and complete all 24 measurement points.
The description and rules of the TESTING process.
Step one:
The device is connected to the computer, USB-port cable is connected to the computer and device, active/passive
probe, electrode are connected to the device. Run software.
Make all necessary general requirements to examination procedure.
Step two:
Make a small size of cotton swab. Moisten it with water or salt solution and squeeze the cotton swab
in the active/passive probe’s cup. Make sure that the moistened cotton on the active/passive probe is
in contact with metal of the probe. The moist cotton should not be too wet or
too dry. It is appropriate to douse in water the active/passive probe to
maintain cotton moistened during the test.
Step three:
Have the client hold the probe not too loose or not too tight.
Step four:
With the feet resting on non-conductive ground the client seats comfortably on a chair or lying on a
bed. The examinee should not contact metal, wall furnishings.
Step five:
Without touching, probing or palpating, place the active/passive measuring probe with moistened cotton tampon over the
examinee’s test point aсcording to the point’s illustration, since that
moment the reading begins. The red line steadily rises to a certain value
where it gradually stabilizes.
The measurement of each point is performed within 3 seconds and the program automatically gets three measurement readings of the meridian conductance value on each second, then the software calculates the average value of the point.
After 3 seconds when the running red line stabilized and reaches the end of display scale,
measurement value is accompanied by a beep and the software automatically fixes
it in the evaluation form if you checked the box with
To go to the next measurement you need to place the measuring electrode on the examinee’s skin in accordance with the next point’s illustration.
If you press the
push-button before the expiration of 3 seconds from the moment of the first
pressing, or there was a mistake you can press the button (back) and shift to a necessary point.
To repeat this or any other point, press the button (forward) - to pass to the next point
or the button – to shift to a previous point.
Shifting back and forth you can begin testing with a point which is displayed in the program.
This function helps you in erroneous data input.
The button (clear) – deletes all measured data during examination.
On completion of measurement at the last 24-th point when the all boxes are filled in the evaluation form, the software gives you the following message, suggesting you to save measurement results in memory and creating meridian charts in a client’s file.
On completion of measurement at the last 24-th point when the all boxes are filled in the evaluation form, the software gives you the following message, suggesting you to save measurement results in memory and creating meridian charts in a client’s file.
But if you made an error in the last measurement, press the button Return.
If you are satisfied with test results the software automatically directs you in charts section in 5 seconds.
The software automatically saves 24 values and creates a test summary in the shape of different charts in the clients file.
Special Note:
If the active/passive probe does not start reading right away make sure that the cotton swab is moistened enough and the probe is connected to the device.
A stable running red line shows that the measurement is accurate but there can be a break in the graphic line, continue to measure a point and wait for a while, it is probably passing. A break indicates that the signal has broken. It often happens if the skin conductance is not sufficient and your energy level is low, then the measurement won’t be accurate as it won’t show the information about your health.
Test charts (viewing test results in graphs).
This software window contains test results in 6 different chart types.
In this version of the software you can view and save unlimited quantity of tests for each client.
A user can choose any preferable chart to view testn results.
These graphs provide a summary of the meridian examination. The user can view which meridians are out of their physiologic balance (if the meridians are depressed or elevated) in the six different style graphs.
If you want to see the graph with 12 meridians on the left and right side the first type of the chart, click on the date you want to view (if it is not a current test) and the chart icon.
With the third chart the user can choose to view several previous tests from the client’s history to compare them with each other over a span of time or the current test with previous examinations.
To do so click on the dates you want to view and the program will display each test in its own color.
The advantage of this function allows you to compare the last examination with previous ones and view any changed physiological responses.
Fourth chart allows to see an imbalance between left and right meridian side in a figure value and evaluate the difference between them (like the second type)
The fifth chart is a Pie chart - an alternative to the first type of chart as some users used to view test results in this shape.
The sixth type of chart is supposed for evaluation of points measurement points chosen by a practitioner on each meridian (allows also to test substructures).
Press the scroll button to choose a pair of meridians you want to view.
Potential symptomatology of disbalanced meridians can be viewed from the charts window.
You just need to click the tab ‘Symptoms’ and the software displays possible symptoms that
might be available.
The software allows to view 3D model of a human body with inner organs.
Organs are marked with different colors depending on imbalances revealed in the process of measurement. You are able to view female or male body depending on a sex of your client and his registration data.
There is a table with meridian names, their left and right sides and percentage of revealed imbalance in the organs and meridians connected with them.
Here is a table with color evaluation of the values:
Functions Scale
and Navigation help enlarge or diminish 3D model and also move it in different directions.
The window Recommendations is multifunctional and provides several options at the same time, such as: color zones recommendations, color points, needle points and open point, as well as a user can enter his notes about treatment provided and its effect in a special mode ‘Results’
Recommendation modes are based on a person’s test results.
Color zones – it is advised to find painful points and massage them, put a definite color, heat them up with moxa or apply seed therapy. Color point – you can draw recommended color points on your finger meridians with a simple color marker or any other available color tool.
Needle point – if you have special Su-jok needles you can use recommended points for Su-jok acupuncture.
Open point mode gives an automatical calculation of a biologically active point in the body which changes every 2 hours.
The method of the OPEN POINT is an independent method of treatment. The treatment is carried through one needle only. The needle is inserted in the open point perpendicularly and left there for 20-30 minutes. A practitioner can use Open points appropriate to particular organs for added efficacy selecting a definite time for patient's treatment when a necessary point will be open.
To get recommendation on corresponding zones, press .

Open point mode is a bio rhythmical acupuncture which is calculated by the software.
What do you need to use this software part?
1) small needles for micro acupuncture
2) small magnets
3) color markers or felt-pen tips: red, green, yellow, black, white.
You will need small needles for Open Point and Mjeng treatment.
Magnets are used in magnet therapy. Magnet therapy is also used in Su-Jok acupuncture, as Su-Jok acupuncture uses different kinds of energy balancing, except acupuncture it includes therapy with magnets, color, seeds of plants.
Color markers are used for color therapy.
When you choose the mode “Open point” you see a blank window
Choose your sex, male or female
and press File View

Treatment with Open Point method
Run the software, choose from the “Mode” tab Open Point method
The software will automatically display the date, month and year, but if you want to calculate the open point for another date, choose another date from calendar provided in the software.
Also the software automatically displays the time. If you want to change the time you can do it also in the special field.
Then check a box Man or Woman - to calculate the Open point for a man or woman, choose it accordingly.
Press View button and the software will display the point where you need to insert a needle (it will be blinking).
The software will give you an information about the year, month, day, time, point, side of the meridian and meridian name, like in our example:
Leave the needle in the point for 20-30 minutes. The person should seat comfortably (or lie) and his legs and hands without being criss-cross.
The technique of needle insertion in the open point.
The needle is inserted perpendicular to skin surface. This kind of treatment can be assigned to metaphysical treatment and requires a definite energetic state from a practitioner.
It is necessary to concentrate attention on the needle, to gather your energetics until heavy feeling on the needle. You should feel a sensation of heavy subsidence from the needle and a kind of passing it in the meridian. You need to hold your hand until the moment when you finally feel that the energetics totally entered a point.
Location of the open point on the left or right meridian depends on energetics corresponding to a Sky stem and general energetics to Yin or Yang.
The Open Point changes every 2 hours as the activity of a certain meridian is also changes.
The method of Su-Jok Open Point takes its roots in Chinese bio-rhythmical acupuncture.
It can be used for overall health as it influences on the whole organism.
Treatment with Mjeng method
The other method of bio-rhythmical acupuncture in Su-Jok method is Mjeng. Whereas Open Point method uses only one point on the meridian, Mjeng method uses 2 points.
When in Open Point method we know the Earth branch, i.e. meridian which is active in a definite period, the software automatically calculates the point which is open on the given meridian.
While treating according to Mjeng acupuncture the calculation is done in reverse order.
First of all we choose a point which will be influenced (correlated with one of the 5 elements – Water, Earth, Wood, etc.) and then the software calculates the point corresponding to this element and the point which will be open at the given moment.
When you choose the element you should take into account symptoms of the disease and then click on the appropriate element and the software automatically calculates the meridian which is active at the current moment.
For example, a person has a running nose, it corresponds to the element of Earth, you choose Earth and click Viewbutton, the software calculates for you 2 points: 1 point corresponds to the element and the second point corresponds to a meridian which is open at the moment.
This method can be used for mental and emotional correction of a patient.
2 needles should be inserted for 20-30 minutes also.
Treatment with Meridian mode: Magnet and Colour
Meridian provides you with 2 methods of treatment: with magnets and colour therapy.
To use this option you need to choose the method of influence click “Mode” tab and select magnets or colour.
Your next step is to choose the meridian which needs to be influenced (one of 12 meridians: lung, stomach, kidney, liver etc.) and what you want to do with it, tonify or sedate the meridian and select a side of influence: left or right. Then click View button.
Magnets are usually applied also for 30 minutes and then removed.
Apply magnets as it is shown in the software (if you feel somehow uncomfortable, remove these magnets or change the polarity)
If you want to use colour correction, go to ‘Mode’ tab, choose Colour.
Then you need to select the meridian you want to influence, its side and the action connected with it: tonification or sedation. Click View button and the software will prompt you the points that should be drawn on your fingers.
Special attention required:
Draw colour points only with a colour(-s) shown in the software. The points should be colored constantly within 10-14 days period. As soon as the points disappear, colour them again.
Also if there is an uncomfortable sensation, it is necessary to stop drawing the points and remove them.
If you are not sure which meridian is out of balance try Su-Jok diagnostics which displays a clear graph for the patient to see imbalances on each meridian system.
This field (for devices having color therapy software) helps you to manage color therapy module in your device to generate necessary color.

Vertically on the map there are markers of the representative scale from 0 to 200 units, horizontally there are names of meridians.
Under each meridian there are two short Su-Jok meridian names corresponding to measurements on the left and right branches of the meridian (A on the left side and A on the right side).
Every letter symbol has its own decoding in correspondence to Su-Jok terminology:
Which in its turn correspond to Chinese meridians as:
A = Lu- Lung meridian I= Pc- Pericardium meridian (Heart constrictor)
E-= Ht- Heart meridian F= Si- Small intestine meridian
J= Th- Three heaters meridian B= Li- Large intestine meridian
D= Sp- Spleen/Pancreas meridian L= Lv- Liver meridian,
H= Ki- Kidney meridian G= Bl- Urinary bladder,
K= Gb- Gall bladder meridian C= St- Stomach meridian
The map is divided into left and right sides correspondingly for left side meridians and for the right side meridians.
The green line on the chart designates a physiological balance and the average state of person’s energetics. Average values are ideal.
If the electric conductivity value exceeds it, being high (red color) or low (blue color) it means that dysfunctions are available on the given meridian.
The higher column is in red and blue color the worse the condition of the meridian and organ connected with it.
Those values which are too high or too low must be treated as to stimulation or sedation.
Values below around 20-30 are often considered deficient and usually undesirable and must be balanced as to stimulation.
Values higher than 70 are considered elevated and must be balanced as to sedation.
Average readings are from 30 to 70.
An experienced user watching client’s physiological responses on graphs (different types) as they occur in real time can obtain the information about general body’s energy level, the mental state ratio, the musculoskeletal system, the metabolism function and the state of autonomic nervous system. For example, increased red column suggests autonomic nervous system activation, which may indicate either excitement or anxiety or both. Blue column indicates a low skin conductance level and suggests a decline in autonomic nervous system.
